Reservations for private study rooms: The library has one private room available to reserve. You can make reservations in advance by calling the library or stopping at the front desk. At this time, the room has a standing reservation for Fridays from 11-3 but is otherwise available.
Other facilities for meeting students: The library has quiet rooms in the back with lap top access. The young adult area upstairs has lots of tables (including one table for up to six people). It is better to use this area during school hours when kids are not there.

Reservations for private study rooms: Two study rooms are available on a first come/first served basis. There is also a room that is a converted storage room that can accommodate up to four people.
Other facilities for meeting students: The library has lots of great areas to work with students, including several booths in the young adult area. Again, this area is best to use during school hours.

Reservation for private study rooms: One study room is available and can be reserved in advance for a two hour period. Literacy Volunteers of South Sarasota County uses this room frequently so you will be competing with them for space. Contact Janita Wisch at 941-861-1307 directly to reserve the room.
Other facilities for meeting students: The main area of the library does have some tables but they are quite busy now during “high season”.
NOTE: The North Port Library also has two computers that are dedicated to their Native Accents program. ESOL students can use these computers with a set of head phones to work on pronunciation. The website is designed so that they get instant feedback. If you want to find out more about this program for your student, contact Janita.
