This program is designed to prepare persons for employment at the aide/orderly level in long term nursing facilities or to care for patients in their homes working under the direction of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. This course is offered several times a year and qualifies graduates to sit for the state Certified Nurse Aide examination. Program completers may continue training in Electrocardiography or Phlebotomy. Clinicals are on Saturdays. TB Test, Drug Test and FDLE Level II Background Check required.
