High school seniors are able to complete up to 300 hours in our Dental Aide program that will prepare them to work as a Dental Aide or continue in our Dental Assisting program after they graduate from high school. Successful completion of the Dental Aide and Dental Assisting program will allow students to sit for the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification. The Dental Aide program is designed to provide classroom theory and practical application in tasks related to dental office asepsis and sterilization and disinfection procedures in the dental environment. It is designed to prepare students for employment as dental aides specializing as dental sterilization technicians.
The Occupational Completion Points (OCP’s) you can earn in this program are:
A – Health Science 1 and Health Science 2
B – Dental Aide 3
